Ready for our long trip to South Carolina

I'm keeping my eyes on you

This Christmas we drove to South Carolina. It was so nice to be with family for Christmas. Hailey got to meet her Great Grandmama. The drive there was awful. We left Texas at 7pm (central) and arrived in South Carolina at 4pm (eastern). Hailey cried for most of the trip. I think we slept for about 3 hours. While we were visiting Hailey was extremely cranky and wouldn't left me put her down. Thank god my mom's neighbor let us borrow her high chair because that was the only way I could put her down. She did cut another tooth while we were there, making this 4. Hailey loved Grandma & Grandpa's dogs. Rambo loved her right back. I really enjoyed being with my family for Christmas since Matt & I usually spend holidays alone. The snow was nice too.

The trip home was much better. We left South Carolina at 6pm (eastern) and got back to Texas at 11am (central). Hailey slept for most of the trip this time. Can't wait to try this trip again.

Happy First Birthday!

Hailey celebrated her first birthday with a Very Hungry Caterpillar party. Nana, Grandma Susan, Aunt Michelle, Uncle Kevin & Grant came to celebrate. Her favorite present was a shopping cart. We put her bear Bob in it and pushed him all around the house.

November = TEETH!

Hailey usually sleeps from 7pm till 7am. This month she decided to wake up early. I really enjoy sleeping late on the weekends but she has been getting up between 6 and 6:30.

I have been checking Hailey's mouth daily looking for teeth. They have been bothering her for some time now. They were right there for so long too. On November 22, she stuck Matt's finger in her mouth and there was her 1st tooth. Two days later, she did the same thing to me and there was number 2.

We had some company this month. Nana came to visit from Vermont and Grandma came to visit from Arizona. Hailey loves when people come to visit her.

Hailey's 1st Halloween

On Halloween we took Hailey to Kroger dressed up in her costume. I guess I will have to pick a costume for a girl next year. Everyone kept saying she was a cute boy. I had a hard time finding a costume that she could wear in Texas, since it is so warm here still. I was planning on taking Hailey trick-or-treating but I got sick and couldn't even hand out candy.

I was trying to get a good picture of her. The only way I could get her to sit still for a picture was if she had a book.

11 Months Old

This month we moved Hailey into regular car seat. She got too long for her carrier. I was sad to see it go but as you can tell from the pictures, she really likes her new car seat. Matt had to install the car seat with Hailey in it. Aunt Michelle, Uncle Kevin, and Grant came out to visit us again. We celebrated Grant's 10th birthday by going to the Stockyard's, eating at H3, taking Grant shopping at Toys R Us and then playing miniature golf. Hailey had a very busy day and did well staying up past her bedtime.

She started to pull up on the coffee table and walk around it. She is very careful and hasn't bumped her head yet. Hailey is getting use to table food. I have been giving her different foods to try. She likes pretzels and is not happy when you take them away from her. She also eats grilled chicken and chicken nuggets.
